San Francisco - Day 3

On the third day we headed back to Union Square. We breakfast at the bagel place called Posh Bagel, that wasn't very posh. The lady behind the counter was really rude.

Then we went shopping at H&M where I got a teal colored shirt, a black rhinestone barette, and some dangly silver coin earrings. I liked H&M - it was kind of like Express, but a lot cheaper. And we don't have it in Texas. After H&M we went to Lush - a place where they sell handmade bath and beauty products. It smelled so good in there! And I thought it was unique to San Francisco, but the next week, when I was walking through the mall in Friendswood, Texas of all places (Houston suburb), I saw a Lush shop. But oh well, I had never seen it until SF and I got a star shaped bath bomb. I wanted soap, but it was a little too expensive. I couldn't justify an $11 bar of soap.

After shopping we went back to the Fishermans Wharf area to eat at In & Out Burger. It was pretty good, as far as fast food hamburgers go. It was very popular and always crowded.

After lunch we went to tour an old Victorian home, called the Haas-Lilienthal House. I really enjoyed the tour. I love to know things about past centuries - like how they decorated, dressed, etc. Some people might think it's boring, but I thought it was fascinating.

It was a gorgeous day in San Francisco, so after the house tour, we rode the bus to the Golden Gate Bridge. The whole scene was breathtaking and so much fun. We walked almost halfway across, but the cold wind and cars whizzing by at 80 mph made us want to turn around. It was really a perfect day to visit the bridge though. SO much fun.

After the bridge, we went to Ghiradelli Square, near our hotel, where I did a really fun wine tasting (I'm not in seminary anymore. ha.) and we bought some cupcakes from Kara's Cupcakes, a really cute cupcake place that is only in the Bay Area.

For dinner we had seafood at the Pier Markert on Pier 39. The food was good, but the waitress was awful. She was so distracted and seemed like she dealt with way too many tourists. That kind of made the experience not as fun.

After dinner we went back to our favorite place in the world (or at least in San Francisco), Ghiradelli, and ate our Kara's cupcakes and drank coffee. Another wonderful day in San Francisco.
